- Leadership Level
We will work with you to develop your personal brand strategy and personalized interview responses during two sessions of interview coaching by a professionally trained and experienced coach where the focus will be on you and your specific needs, wants, and challenges. We offer two different levels, Professional and Leadership, based on your needs and career direction.
Our coaches are hiring managers in small and large companies and have a long track record of interviewing and hiring candidates just like you. They will give you instant feedback on how you are coming across and your body language and gestures.
Your assigned coach will start with a diagnostic video interview. It’ll help us calibrate your current interview performance. From there, we’ll offer an assessment of how you’re currently performing. They’ll explain what’s working, what’s not, and how to improve it. Then, much like a physical therapist, the coach will start working with you on a variety of exercises to develop your personal brand and interview responses tailored to you.
At the end of the each session, the coach will email you notes, summarizing areas of improvement and exercises they’d like you to complete before the next session.
Professional Level interview session will take an hour and will focus mainly on most frequently asked questions for an engineering position. The types of questions are about you as a person, your problem solving skills, your team orientation, and your communication skills.
Engineering interviews often include problem solving questions. Your coach will practice the STAR technique with you to answer these questions most effectively. STAR (Situation, Task, Action, and Result) has proven as one of the most effective methods to not only solve real world problems but also present the steps taken to reach an optimum resolution.
At the end of the Professional Level session, the coach will email you notes, summarizing areas of improvement and exercises they would like you to complete.
Leadership Level interview session will take an hour and will focus on how well you can work in cross-functional teams, your interpersonal skills, ability to delegate and think and act strategically. Your coach will focus on making clear statements about the type of change you want to make in your new role; technical, managerial, or both.
Your assigned coach will start with a diagnostic mock interview that will help us calibrate your current interview performance. From there, we’ll offer an assessment of how you’re currently performing. They’ll explain what’s working, what’s not, and how to improve it.
At the end of the Leadership Level session, your coach will comment on whether you come across as a strong manager who is capable of leading a team and delegate responsibilities. You will also be coached to answer more difficult questions about hiring, firing, performance reviews and managing by objectives.
